Triple Whale Alternatives for Shopify Brands: 7 Options Compared
Triple Whale competitors compared on listed prices, free plans and fit: Northbeam, Polar, Lifetimely, TrueProfit, BeProfit, Profit Calc and Tera Ads.
On this page
The right Triple Whale alternative depends on which part of Triple Whale you want to replace. Northbeam fits brands that need multi-touch attribution on big budgets, Polar Analytics fits teams that want a data warehouse, and Lifetimely fits brands built on repeat customers. TrueProfit, BeProfit and Profit Calc are cheaper profit dashboards priced by order volume. Tera Ads is free for one business and shows store profit after returns for brands on Meta and Google.
Key takeaways
- Triple Whale's Shopify App Store listing shows a free plan, Foundation at $219 a month and Automate at $749 a month, billed in US dollars.
- Most alternatives are either more specialized (Northbeam, Polar) or narrower and cheaper (TrueProfit, BeProfit, Profit Calc, Lifetimely).
- Order-based apps start between $35 and $49 a month, but their price climbs with your order count.
- Triple Whale is still the stronger choice if you want attribution, cohorts, custom SQL dashboards and an AI that acts in your ad accounts in one product.
- Pick on the decision you make every week, then check the tool against one settled month of your own numbers.
How we compared
We looked at each tool through the questions a Shopify founder asks every week: how much to spend, which campaigns to scale or cut, and whether last month made money after returns. Every price, plan and feature below comes from the vendor's own pricing page or its Shopify App Store listing, checked on 14 October 2026, and is linked where it appears. Ratings are as shown on the App Store that day. Tera Ads facts come from our own product as it works today, and our editorial standards explain how we write comparisons that include it.
Triple Whale's own pricing page didn't load for us on the check date, so the Triple Whale prices here come from its App Store listing. Confirm the price for your store on its site before you decide.
What Triple Whale offers, and what it costs
Triple Whale's App Store listing calls it "the AI operating system for commerce" and says more than 60,000 brands use it. It lists three plans, all billed in US dollars:
- Free: 10 users, a 12-month lookback, first- and last-click attribution, the Triple Pixel, shop performance and logistics reporting and a standard post-purchase survey.
- Foundation, $219 a month or $2,190 a year: adds multi-touch attribution, subscription data, creative and product analytics, cohort analysis, custom dashboards with a SQL editor and Moby, its AI operator.
- Automate, $749 a month or $7,490 a year: lists Moby automations and autonomous actions, creative generation for video, static and ads, and contextual benchmarks.
It works with Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok, Klaviyo, Gorgias and Recharge. On 14 October 2026 the listing showed a rating of 4.0 from 92 reviews.
That's a lot of product. Brands tend to look elsewhere for one of three reasons: the paid plans are a big line item next to a small ad budget, they use only a fraction of the features, or they want a tool built around one job, such as lifetime value or profit after returns.

The alternatives, by the job you need done
Northbeam: when attribution is the whole point
Northbeam's pricing page lists Starter at $1,500, month to month and usage-based on page views, for brands spending under $1.5 million a year on ads. Professional is $3,500 a month on an annual term, for brands spending up to $500,000 a month, and adds a dedicated media strategist. Growth and Enterprise are quoted on request. It's built around first-party multi-touch attribution across every ad channel, with custom attribution models and view-through measurement. It costs more than Triple Whale at entry, so it's an upgrade path for large multi-channel budgets rather than a cheaper swap. Our Northbeam comparison goes deeper.
Polar Analytics: when you want your own warehouse
Polar's App Store listing shows a Core Plan from $750 a month, priced by online GMV, with discounts for annual terms. It brings Shopify, Amazon, Meta, Google, TikTok, Klaviyo and other sources into a warehouse the merchant owns, with unlimited users, connectors and history, Klaviyo audiences, advertising signals and an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT. It suits a brand with an analyst and many data sources. The Polar Analytics comparison covers it in detail.
Lifetimely: when repeat customers drive the business
Lifetimely's listing has a free plan with daily profit and loss, custom reports, a predictive lifetime value model, benchmarks and sales forecasts. Paid plans are $49 a month for up to 500 orders, $149 for up to 3,000 and $299 for up to 7,000, with a Profit Agent, an MCP connector and unlimited users. Amazon data is a $75 a month add-on. It works with Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, Klaviyo, Recharge and Skio, and showed 4.9 from 559 reviews. If cohorts and lifetime value are why you use Triple Whale, this is the closest match for much less.
TrueProfit: a cheaper net profit dashboard
TrueProfit's listing starts at $35 a month for 300 orders, then $60 for 600, $100 for 1,500 and $200 for 3,500, with a per-order charge above each limit. Every plan has a 14-day trial; there's no free plan. It syncs ad spend from Facebook, Google, TikTok, Microsoft, X, Pinterest, Snapchat and Amazon, works with print-on-demand apps such as Printful and Printify, and has an MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude. It showed 4.9 from 918 reviews, the most of any app here.
BeProfit: profit and loss across several shops
BeProfit's listing has Basic at $49 a month for 450 orders, Pro at $99 for 900, Ultimate at $149 for 1,700 and Plus at $249 for unlimited orders and shops, with 20% off yearly and a 14-day trial. Ultimate adds UTM attribution, lifetime value cohorts and pricing simulators; Plus adds API access. It works with Amazon, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Klaviyo and TikTok.
Profit Calc: simple pricing by order count
Profit Calc's listing has Starter at $39 a month for 500 orders, Growth at $79 for 1,500, Pro at $149 for 3,000 and Unlimited at $249, each with a 15-day trial. It lists Facebook, Google, TikTok, Bing, Snapchat and Pinterest ads, and real-time and historical currency conversion. It showed 5.0 from 66 reviews.
Tera Ads: free store profit after returns on Meta and Google
Tera Ads is built for Shopify brands that advertise on Meta Ads and Google Ads and want one profit number to manage by. It takes store sales and subtracts product cost, from the margin you set, plus ad spend, shipping, payment fees, returns and refunds. Returns are counted in the month the order was placed and settle after about 45 days. Every Meta Ads and Google Ads campaign sits in one table with the ROAS each platform reports and the money-wasters marked. It's free for one business, with no card needed.

Where Triple Whale is still the better choice
Be honest about what you'd give up. Triple Whale is likely the better fit if:
- You want attribution, cohorts, custom SQL dashboards and creative analytics in one product rather than several.
- You want an AI that can act in your ad accounts and run automations, which its Automate plan lists today.
- You advertise on TikTok as well as Meta and Google, and want Klaviyo, Gorgias and Recharge data in the same place.
- You want its own tracking pixel, the Triple Pixel, which comes with its free plan.
Compared with Tera Ads specifically, Triple Whale also has multi-touch attribution, cohort analysis, its own pixel and TikTok and Klaviyo connections, none of which Tera Ads offers.
Is there anything cheaper than Triple Whale?
Yes. Every order-based app above starts below Foundation's $219 a month, and two tools have free plans. The catch is that order-based pricing grows with you. At about 1,500 orders a month, TrueProfit's Ultimate plan is $100, Profit Calc's Growth plan is $79, BeProfit's Ultimate plan is $149 and Lifetimely's middle plan is $149. Work out the price at your order volume a year from now, not today's.
Also price the time. A tool that needs a week of setup and a person to maintain dashboards costs more than its subscription. If your team is one founder and one marketer, a narrower tool you'll actually open every morning beats a broad one you won't.
How to pick a replacement
- Write down the three numbers you check every week. Profit, spend by campaign, ROAS, lifetime value, or something else.
- Match them to the jobs above. Attribution, warehouse, lifetime value or profit dashboard.
- Price it at next year's volume. Orders, GMV or page views, whichever the tool charges on.
- Check how returns are handled. Ask whether profit includes refunds and returns, and in which month they're counted.
- Test on a settled month. Compare the tool's profit with your own sheet for a month that's at least six weeks old.
The Shopify profit tracking guide lists what any of these tools should calculate, and MER vs ROAS explains which top-line number to watch while you switch.
Common mistakes
Replacing everything at once. Run the new tool beside the old one for a month and compare.
Comparing entry prices only. Order limits, GMV bands and add-ons decide what you'll really pay.
Trusting platform ROAS as profit. Meta and Google both claim credit for the same orders; your Shopify orders are the truth. Why Meta Ads and Shopify disagree explains the gap.
Ignoring returns. A dashboard that counts orders before refunds overstates profit for weeks.
Tera Ads shows Shopify sales, Meta Ads and Google Ads spend and your store's profit after returns on one screen, free for one business. Paid plans are on the pricing page, charged in your own currency.
