Madgicx Alternative for Shopify Brands: Pricing, Fit and Trade-offs
Madgicx is an AI platform for running Meta ads. What it does, what its own site says about price, who it suits, and when a store-profit tool like Tera Ads fits better.
On this page
Madgicx is an AI platform for running Meta ads: it audits accounts, builds and launches creatives, automates campaigns and reports on results. Its pricing page shows the price only inside the app, after you pick your monthly ad spend, with a 7-day free trial. It suits Meta-heavy advertisers and agencies. If your real question is whether your Shopify store made money after ads and returns, a profit-first tool such as Tera Ads fits better.
Key takeaways
- Madgicx describes itself as an agentic Meta Ads management platform, with an AI Marketer, AI ad creation, automation and analytics.
- Its pricing page lists one plan, Madgicx Pro Complete, and shows the price inside the app after you choose an ad-spend band.
- Published numbers on its own site: a 7-day free trial, Tracking Pro at $49 a month, a $29 a month data offer, and an MCP article citing plans from $45 a month.
- It's strongest for brands and agencies that spend most of their budget on Meta and produce a lot of creative.
- Tera Ads is free for one business and answers a different question: the store's profit after ad spend, shipping, fees and returns.
How we compared
We compared both products on the decisions a Shopify founder makes every week: how much to spend, what to scale or cut, and whether last month made money after returns. Madgicx facts come from its own homepage, pricing page and blog, all checked on 14 October 2026 and linked where they appear. Tera Ads facts come from our own product as it works today. Our editorial standards explain how we write comparisons that include our own product.
What Madgicx is
Madgicx's homepage calls it an "Agentic Meta Ads Management AI Platform". The product is organized in four areas:
- Optimization. The AI Marketer, which Madgicx calls "your personal AI Ad Agency", audits your account, finds opportunities and tells you what to do next.
- AI ads. An end-to-end creative workflow with a Meta ad creative optimizer, an automated ad launch tool and a creative tracker.
- Analytics. An AI ad analyzer and Meta ad intelligence.
- Automation. Meta campaign automation.
Its body copy is about Meta. Its reporting tool, One-Click Report, also lists Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Shopify, Klaviyo and TikTok as sources on the pricing page. Madgicx also has an MCP server that connects your Meta account to Claude or ChatGPT, which its own setup article says can pause underperforming ads or scale top performers from the chat.
The pricing page says to "Join 200,000+ successful advertisers". Its Shopify App Store listing, Madgicx for Facebook Ads, showed "not currently available on the Shopify App Store" on the check date, so you sign up on Madgicx's site.
What Madgicx costs
Madgicx doesn't print a single price. Here is everything its own pages stated on 14 October 2026:
| Item | What Madgicx's own site says | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Madgicx Pro Complete | One plan covering automation, targeting, analytics and ad management; price shown inside the app | Pricing page |
| How the price is set | Asks your monthly ad spend, in bands from under $1K to $30K+ | Pricing page |
| Billing | Monthly, quarterly or annually, with discounts for longer terms | Pricing page |
| Free trial | "Try 100% free for 7 days", with an extension offered if you see no results | Pricing page |
| Tracking Pro add-on | $49 a month, server-to-server tracking for Meta ads | Pricing page |
| Early-bird data offer | "accurate data analysis for $29/mo forever" | Homepage |
| MCP access | "included with Madgicx plans starting at $45/mo", in a March 2026 article | MCP article |
| Tera Ads | Free for one business; paid plans on the pricing page in your currency | Our own product |
Third-party sites quote several different Madgicx prices. Because the price depends on your ad-spend band, start the trial or ask Madgicx for the price at your spend, in writing, before you compare. Add Tracking Pro if you need server-side tracking.
Who Madgicx suits
Madgicx is likely the better choice if:
- Most of your budget is on Meta, and you want one tool to audit, build, launch and automate Meta campaigns.
- You produce a lot of creative and want AI help generating and tracking ad variations.
- You're an agency running many ad accounts; its homepage pitches it as the tool "top ad agencies use to run all accounts".
- You want automation rules that act on Meta campaigns for you.
- You want server-side tracking for Meta through its Tracking Pro add-on.
On all of those, Madgicx goes further than Tera Ads. Tera Ads never changes your ads on its own, doesn't offer server-side tracking or attribution modeling, and doesn't connect TikTok or Klaviyo.
Where Tera Ads fits better
Madgicx starts from the ad account. Tera Ads starts from the store. That matters because Meta reports purchases it attributes to its own ads, and Google does the same, so the two together can claim more sales than your store made. Neither knows which orders were returned. Why Meta Ads and Shopify disagree explains the gap.
Tera Ads is built for Shopify brands that run Meta Ads and Google Ads:
- Store profit after returns is the headline number: store sales minus product cost, from the margin you set, plus ad spend, shipping, payment fees, returns and refunds. Returns are counted in the month the order was placed and settle after about 45 days.
- Meta and Google side by side. Every Meta Ads and Google Ads campaign sits in one table with the ROAS each platform reports and the money-wasters marked.
- Fresh numbers. Orders arrive about a second after checkout, Meta spend every 30 minutes and Google spend every hour.
- Your currency and time zone. Money shows in the store's currency and days follow its time zone.
- Free for one business, no card needed.

Worked example: healthy ROAS, thin profit
Take a month in which a Shopify store makes $40,000 of sales, with $14,000 spent across Meta and Google. Meta's and Google's own ROAS columns both look healthy. Now take the costs off the store's sales: product cost of $12,000 at a 70% margin, shipping and payment fees of $5,000, and $4,000 of returns and refunds. After the $14,000 of ads, $5,000 is left: 12.5% of sales.

These are illustrative numbers. The point is that an ad tool can make each campaign look better week after week while the store's profit stays thin, because the costs that decide profit live outside the ad account. Finding wasted ad spend shows where to look first, and Meta Ads kill rules covers when to switch a campaign off.
Using both
The two tools don't exclude each other. Some brands use an ad tool to run Meta day to day and a profit tool to decide how much to spend in total. If you do, agree which number sets the budget: platform ROAS for choosing between ads, store profit after returns for the total.
Questions to ask before you buy any ads AI tool
- What's the price at my ad spend, and what happens when spend grows into the next band?
- What can it change on its own, and can I limit it?
- Does it know my Shopify orders, product costs and returns, or only what the ad platform reports?
- Which platforms does it manage, and which does it only report on?
- Can I export my data if I leave?
Common mistakes
Buying automation before you know your break-even ROAS. Rules that scale winners need a profit line to scale against. Break-even ROAS shows how to set one.
Judging a tool by platform ROAS. Platform ROAS goes up when attribution gets more generous, not only when results improve.
Ignoring the price band. Spend-based pricing grows with your budget.
Letting a tool change budgets without limits. Decide how far any automation may move spend before you switch it on.
