RTO and shipping costs from Shiprocket
Connect Shiprocket and Tera Ads takes returned cash-on-delivery orders (RTO) and shipping costs off your profit, booking each return to the month the order was placed. Shiprocket’s API works with an API user, so you create one in Shiprocket and enter its email and password in Tera Ads. Without a returns source, Tera Ads can’t tell which orders came back.

Questions
- Why are returns booked to the order’s month?
- So a month’s profit isn’t flattered when its returns arrive weeks later. A cash-on-delivery order placed on 28 March that comes back in April lowers March’s profit.
- Can I use my main Shiprocket login?
- Shiprocket’s API takes an API user rather than your main login. Creating one takes a minute, and you can remove it without touching your main account.
- I don’t use Shiprocket. Can Tera Ads still see returns?
- Not yet. Today Tera Ads reads returns (RTO) from Shiprocket only.
