Free Meta Ads MCP Servers in 2026: What the Free Plans Include
The free Meta Ads MCP servers in October 2026 compared: Meta's own, Pipeboard, Adspirer, Adrails and Tera Ads. Calls, ad accounts, changes and when to pay.
On this page
Yes, you can connect Meta Ads to your AI for free in 2026, but every free plan stops somewhere different. Meta's own ads MCP server costs nothing extra while it's in open beta, Pipeboard's free plan gives 30 tool calls a week on two ad accounts, Adspirer's gives 15 tasks a month, and Tera Ads gives 30 calls a week on one ad account with changes and Shopify profit included. Adrails offers a free preview, not a free plan.
Key takeaways
- Meta's ads MCP server has no extra charge from Meta, but it's an open beta that is still rolling out to ad accounts.
- Pipeboard's free plan: 30 AI tool executions a week and two ad account slots, without duplication, carousel ads or bulk operations.
- Adspirer's Free Forever plan: 15 tasks a month across its six ad platforms, with no card.
- Adrails has no free plan; its free preview gives 10 credits, and applying changes needs a paid plan.
- Tera Ads is free for 30 calls a week on one Meta ad account, changes included; Connect Pro is $15 a month.
How we compared
We read each company's own pricing or product page on 31 October 2026 and link to it where each fact appears. We left out anything the page didn't state, and blog round-ups that quote other numbers. We compared what a Shopify brand running its own Meta ads needs from a free plan: how many calls it gets, how many ad accounts, whether it can change ads, and what the first paid step costs. Tera Ads is our product; our editorial standards explain how we write comparisons that include it. Prices and limits change often, so check the linked pages before you decide.

Meta's own ads MCP server
Meta's ads MCP server page says Meta charges nothing extra to connect, though your AI tool's own subscription still applies. It gives one address, mcp.facebook.com/ads, for every supported assistant and names ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. You sign in with Facebook, so no access token is shared, and new campaigns are held for human review before they go live. Meta announced the connectors as an open beta on 29 April 2026; the same page lists reporting, creating and editing campaigns, ad sets and ads, catalog management and signal diagnostics.
Where it wins: it's the deepest Meta tool set, run by Meta, with no call cap stated on its page. A 16 July 2026 update lets anyone with full control of a business portfolio set rules for what AI agents may do, from budgets to catalog updates.
Where the free deal ends: it's a beta and access is rolling out gradually, so your ad account may not have it yet, and features may change. It reports what Meta attributes to your ads; it doesn't see your store's orders, returns or refunds.
Pipeboard's free plan
Pipeboard's pricing page lists a Free plan at $0 a month, pitched at getting started and small-scale testing. It includes 30 AI tool executions a week and two ad account slots. Campaign, ad set and ad duplication, carousel ads and bulk operations aren't included, batch creative uploads are capped at 10, and support is community only. Its FAQ says creating ads, duplicating campaigns and adjusting budgets count as executions.
Where it wins: two ad accounts on the free plan, and ad platforms beyond Meta: the pricing page says Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn each use a slot. Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Drive and Dropbox use no slot on any plan, though on Free their commands still count toward the weekly 30.
Where the free deal ends: paid plans remove the weekly cap. Pro has three slots, Premium ten and Agency 25, and monthly Pro and Premium come with a 7-day free trial. Paid prices depend on your currency, so check the page for yours. Our Pipeboard alternative guide compares Pipeboard and Tera Ads plan by plan.
Adspirer's free plan
Adspirer's pricing page lists Free Forever at $0 a month: 15 tasks a month, free for good, across all six of its ad platforms, Meta Ads included, with no credit card. It says the plan works in ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants, and the page lists Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and others too.
Where it wins: six ad platforms on a free plan, and a long list of supported assistants.
Where the free deal ends: 15 tasks a month is the smallest allowance here, and the page doesn't say how many ad accounts the free plan covers or whether it can change ads. Plus is listed at $40 a month for 150 tasks, Pro at $83 for 600 and Max at $167 for 3,000. The page has a monthly and annual toggle, so confirm which billing the price you see assumes. Adspirer counts tasks rather than tool calls, so its numbers aren't like for like with the others.
Adrails: a free preview, not a free plan
Adrails' pricing page says it has no free plan. Instead there's a free preview: 10 free credits to try it, with detail for three ads and no card needed. The same page says applying changes requires a paid plan. Starter is $49 a month with 200 credits, Growth $149 with 700 and Scale $399 with 2,000.
Where it wins: on paid plans, MCP tool calls from Claude or ChatGPT cost no credits, and launches, edits, pauses and budget changes cost none either. Every paid plan has unlimited ad accounts and users, the page lists Shopify and Klaviyo among its integrations, and automations can require Slack approval. For an agency running many accounts, that pricing shape can work out cheaper than paying per call.
Where the free deal ends: the preview is a trial of reading and analysis. To have your AI change ads you start at $49 a month.
Tera Ads' free plan
Tera Ads' Connect page lists 30 calls a week on one Meta ad account for the free plan, and the weekly count resets in UTC. The free plan has the same tools as the paid one, including changes: pause, resume, budget changes, and paused campaigns, ad sets and ads. At the limit your AI gets a plain message with the reset time, and nothing is charged automatically. Connect Pro is $15 a month for 3,000 calls a month across three ad accounts, and it's included in the Growth and Scale plans.
Where it wins: it reads your Shopify orders and refunds on the free plan, so your AI can answer in estimated profit after returns as well as Meta's ROAS. You choose per connection whether your AI makes changes, asks you first, or only reads.
Where the free deal ends: one Meta ad account, and Meta is the only ad platform it reads and changes live. Google Ads spend is subtracted in profit, but your AI can't read or change Google campaigns through it.
Self-hosting open code
Pipeboard publishes its Meta Ads MCP code on GitHub under the Business Source License 1.1, which its README says becomes Apache 2.0 on 1 January 2029 and which bars offering it as a competing hosted service. You can run it on your own machine for free, but local installs need your own Meta developer app, and the README strongly recommends Pipeboard's hosted server instead. It suits developers who want no vendor plan at all and are happy to look after Meta app review, tokens and updates themselves.
What 30 calls a week buys
"Calls" sound abstract until you count them. One question can take several: "how did last week go?" might read campaigns, then insights, then ad sets. Here is an illustrative week for a single-store brand on a 30-call plan:
- A Monday check of last week's results: about 4 calls.
- A weekly review with suggestions: about 8 calls.
- Finding ads that spent without a sale and pausing two: about 5 calls.
- One budget change on a winning ad set: about 2 calls.
- Building one paused campaign, ad set and ad: about 7 calls.
That's 26 calls, inside a 30-call week with a little to spare. A long exploratory chat, a second store, or daily check-ins will run past it, which is when a paid plan earns its price. These numbers are illustrative; the real count depends on your assistant and how you ask. The questions to ask AI about your ads are a good way to get more from each call.

Which free option to start with
- You only run Meta and your account has access: start with Meta's server. It costs nothing extra and has the widest Meta tool set.
- You run several ad platforms or two accounts: Pipeboard's free plan covers two slots across platforms.
- You want a quick look across six platforms: Adspirer's 15 tasks a month is enough for a trial.
- You sell on Shopify and want answers in profit after returns: Tera Ads' free plan.
- You want to own the code: self-host Pipeboard's, with your own Meta developer app.
You can use more than one. Assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can have several connectors on, and pick the right tool for each question. Whatever you pick, decide first what the AI may change; the guide to safe AI access has a policy you can copy, and MCP connectors explained covers how sign-in and permissions work.

Where Tera Ads fits
Tera Ads runs a hosted Meta Ads MCP server at https://teraads.co/mcp for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI, with sign-in on teraads.co. Its 29 tools read live Meta campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, insights and targeting, estimate your Shopify profit after returns, and review each campaign that spent against the break-even ROAS your store needs once its usual returns are counted. If you allow it, your AI can pause, resume, set budgets and create paused campaigns; one budget change can at most triple a budget or cut it to a tenth, and a pause, turn-on or budget change can be undone for 7 days. Free gives 30 calls a week on one ad account, and Connect Pro is $15 a month. The Meta Ads MCP options guide and the Facebook Ads MCP explainer go deeper on how the servers differ.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a completely free Meta Ads MCP server?
Meta's own server has no extra charge from Meta during its open beta, and self-hosting Pipeboard's code costs only your hosting. Hosted free plans from Pipeboard, Adspirer and Tera Ads are free within a weekly or monthly cap.
What does Pipeboard's free plan include?
Its pricing page lists 30 AI tool executions a week and two ad account slots, without campaign, ad set or ad duplication, carousel ads or bulk operations. Paid plans remove the weekly cap.
Can a free Meta Ads MCP plan change my ads?
Some can. Meta's server can create and edit campaigns, Pipeboard counts changes as executions, and Tera Ads includes changes on its free plan. Adrails says applying changes needs a paid plan, and Adspirer's page doesn't say.
How much does a paid Meta Ads MCP plan cost?
On 31 October 2026, Tera Ads Connect Pro was $15 a month, Adspirer Plus was listed at $40, and Adrails Starter at $49. Pipeboard shows its price on its pricing page in your currency.
How many calls does one question use?
Usually a few. A simple results question might take one or two calls; a review that reads campaigns, ad sets and insights can take eight or more. Focused questions stretch a free allowance.
Do I need a Shopify store to use Tera Ads' free plan?
No. Meta reads and changes work with a Meta ad account alone. Connecting Shopify adds sales and profit after returns to your AI's answers.
